Manchester Fire Alarm dispatchers currently work 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days/nights off schedule per weekly rotation. There are always a minimum of 2 dispatchers on duty at all times. In addition to answering the business line for the department, we also answer 911 calls, calls from private alarm companies, municipal fire alarm signals as well as private alarm company signals and handle listed agents working on fire alarm systems throughout the city. We also dispatch all Fire and EMS calls for the city of Manchester, which handled over 29,105 calls for service in 2025.
